Choosing a car wrap or Paint Protection Film isn’t only about choosing a colour or film brand.
Who installs it matters just as much.
A premium film can still produce disappointing results if the vehicle isn’t prepared properly, the installer lacks experience, or finishing and quality control are compromised.
At Project Modz, we have been wrapping, protecting and customising vehicles in Singapore since 2017. Our work covers car wrapping, Paint Protection Film (PPF), Colour PPF, window tinting, dechrome, custom decals and other automotive styling and protection services.
Over the years, our philosophy has remained straightforward:
Premium materials. Experienced installers. Proper preparation. Careful finishing. Strict quality control.
Most importantly, we don’t want to sell a film simply because it’s available.
Before we are comfortable offering a product to our customers, it needs to meet the standards we expect for its intended application.
If it doesn’t qualify, we don’t sell it.
Here’s what that means when you trust Project Modz with your vehicle.
Experience cannot be created overnight.
Project Modz was established in 2017, and automotive styling and protection have been at the centre of what we do since then.
Every vehicle teaches an installer something.
Different cars have different:
After years of working with different vehicles and film products, an experienced installer learns where difficulties are likely to occur before starting the job.
That experience becomes especially important on complicated vehicles.
Good workmanship isn’t just about knowing how to apply film. It’s knowing how to approach the specific vehicle in front of you.
You don’t need to own a supercar to receive professional workmanship.
Project Modz works across a wide range of vehicles, including daily-driven cars, Japanese and Continental vehicles, EVs, luxury cars, sports cars, performance vehicles and supercars. Our current website specifically documents experience across these vehicle categories.
Every vehicle receives the same fundamental approach:
Prepare it properly.
Use appropriate material.
Install it carefully.
Inspect it before delivery.
A family SUV deserves proper workmanship just as much as a Lamborghini or Ferrari.
The value of the car doesn’t determine our installation standard.
A Tesla isn’t installed exactly like a Porsche.
A Porsche isn’t the same as a Lamborghini.
And a Lamborghini isn’t the same as a Mercedes-Benz SUV.
The more complicated the vehicle becomes, the more important installer experience can become.
Modern vehicles may include deep air intakes, aggressive bumper shapes, complex mirrors, active aerodynamic components, cameras, sensors and intricate exterior trim.
An installer needs to plan how the film will behave around these areas.
Project Modz has worked with Japanese, European, American and Chinese vehicles, as well as luxury and performance cars with more complex panel designs.
This broad experience allows us to approach each vehicle according to its construction rather than treating every car the same way.
Installation is important.
But workmanship can’t turn poor-quality film into premium film.
That’s why material selection matters.
Project Modz focuses on premium automotive films and products appropriate for their intended application. Our existing car-wrap service, for example, uses premium PET film options, while our PPF services focus on dedicated protective films.
Depending on the service, we carry different film brands, constructions, colours and finishes.
But we don’t believe that having more brands automatically makes a workshop better.
What matters is which products are worth installing.
This is one of the most important differences in how Project Modz approaches automotive film.
There are many wrap and PPF brands available today.
New products enter the market constantly.
Some compete on price.
Some compete on colour.
Some compete on technical specifications.
Some have strong marketing but don’t necessarily suit what we’re looking for.
Project Modz doesn’t believe every film needs to be offered simply because we can buy it.
Before carrying a product, we consider whether it is suitable for the application and whether we’re comfortable putting it onto a customer’s vehicle.
Our existing brand-selection process considers factors including material consistency, surface finish, colour quality, adhesive characteristics, installation behaviour, suitability for Singapore conditions and product support.
If a product doesn’t meet our expected standard, we would rather not sell it.
That is what quality control means to us.
A famous logo on the backing paper doesn’t automatically guarantee a perfect finished vehicle.
Likewise, a less familiar brand shouldn’t automatically be dismissed if the specific product performs well and meets our requirements.
Different products can even vary within the same manufacturer.
That’s why we focus on the specific film being installed, rather than relying purely on brand recognition.
Our current brand articles describe this same approach: Project Modz assesses the suitability, appearance, consistency and installation characteristics of the individual products it carries.
The goal isn’t to sell you the most recognisable logo.
The goal is to recommend a suitable product for your vehicle and what you’re trying to achieve.
We believe a quality automotive film installation requires both.
Premium material without skilled installation can still produce a poor result.
And:
Excellent workmanship is limited by poor-quality material.
For us, the ideal combination is:
Each part affects the finished vehicle.
That’s why comparing workshops purely on the film brand or quotation doesn’t always tell the complete story.
One of the most important stages of a car wrap or PPF installation happens before you see any film on the car.
Surface preparation.
Project Modz’s current wrap and PPF processes include decontamination and clay-bar preparation before installation.
Why does this matter?
Because contamination trapped underneath film can compromise the finished appearance and potentially affect adhesion.
The vehicle may look clean after a normal wash but still have bonded contaminants on its paint.
Applying expensive film over an improperly prepared surface doesn’t make sense.
The quality of the finished installation begins with the condition of the surface underneath it.
Before wrapping or applying PPF, the condition of the vehicle should be considered.
This becomes especially important if the car has previously undergone:
Respraying • Accident repair • Bodywork • Paint correction • Touch-up work • Clear-coat repair
Film adheres to the surface underneath it.
Healthy factory paint is different from poorly bonded aftermarket paint.
Where relevant, customers should tell us about previous body repairs before installation.
We would rather identify a potential issue before starting than discover it during installation or removal later.
Customers naturally notice the colour first.
Installers notice the details.
Look closely at areas such as:
Edges
Corners
Door handles
Mirrors
Bumpers
Air intakes
Panel transitions
Sensors
Trim
Curved surfaces
These are often the areas where workmanship becomes most apparent.
Project Modz’s current service pages specifically emphasise careful edge finishing, panel planning and attention to complicated surfaces.
Our objective isn’t simply:
“The film is on the car.”
The objective is:
“The finished car looks right.”
Installation should not end when the final panel is applied.
The vehicle needs to be inspected.
We believe the finishing and QC stage is essential because this is where small details can be identified before collection.
Different products and services require different inspection points, but the principle remains the same:
Check the work before the customer receives the vehicle.
Our standard isn’t based on whether the vehicle is an everyday car or an exotic car.
The standard should remain consistent.
For customers who want to completely transform their vehicle, vinyl wrapping provides one of the most flexible options.
Project Modz offers matte, satin, gloss, colour-shift and specialty finishes, including premium PET film options.
But choosing the colour is only the beginning.
Proper preparation and experienced installation determine how that colour ultimately looks on the vehicle.

If protecting your original paint is the priority, Paint Protection Film is the more appropriate category.
PPF creates a sacrificial protective layer between the vehicle’s paint and normal road exposure.
It is designed to help protect against hazards such as minor stone chips, light scratches, abrasions and road debris.
PPF can be installed as targeted protection—such as a full-front package—or across the complete vehicle.

Some customers want both.
They want to change their vehicle’s appearance and add PPF-level protection.
That’s where Colour PPF becomes relevant.
The easiest way to understand the three categories is:
| Product | Main purpose |
|---|---|
| Vinyl Wrap | Colour & styling transformation |
| Clear PPF | Preserve and protect existing paint |
| Colour PPF | Colour transformation + paint protection |
Choosing the right one depends on your priorities rather than simply which product costs more.

Project Modz also provides automotive window tinting and solar-film installation.
In Singapore’s climate, customers typically care about cabin comfort, UV protection, glare and maintaining legal visibility requirements.
Film selection needs to consider both performance and suitability for the vehicle.
Professional installation also matters because contamination, poor cutting and improper fitting can compromise the finished appearance.

Another advantage of Project Modz is that customers don’t necessarily need separate workshops for every part of a build.
Our services include car wrapping, PPF, Colour PPF, window tinting, dechrome, roof protection and custom automotive styling.
That makes it easier to plan a complete vehicle transformation.
For example, one customer may want:
Full colour wrap + dechrome + window tint
Another may want:
Full-body PPF + windscreen protection + panoramic roof PPF
And another:
Colour PPF + exterior styling
The right combination depends on the vehicle and the owner’s priorities.
There isn’t one film that is automatically best for every customer.
Someone who wants maximum colour variety has different priorities from someone protecting expensive factory paint.
A daily-driven family vehicle has different requirements from a weekend supercar.
An owner parking outdoors every day may have different considerations from someone whose vehicle spends most of its time indoors.
That’s why we prefer to understand:
What car do you drive?
What are you trying to achieve?
Styling, protection—or both?
Where and how is the car used?
What finish do you prefer?
Then we can discuss suitable options.
Automotive film quotations can vary considerably.
But two quotations aren’t necessarily offering the same thing.
Before comparing price, ask:
Which exact film is being installed?
What preparation is included?
Who is installing it?
What warranty applies?
How are difficult panels handled?
What workmanship support is provided?
What happens if there’s a problem after collection?
A lower price isn’t automatically bad.
A higher price isn’t automatically better.
Value comes from understanding what you’re actually receiving.
Owners of premium vehicles tend to be particularly demanding about workmanship.
They notice panel alignment.
They notice edges.
They notice surface finish.
And they usually know when something doesn’t look right.
Project Modz’s current website documents work across vehicles including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla and other performance and luxury marques.
That experience is valuable.
But the important part is that the same attention to detail should apply regardless of badge.
This point matters to us.
A customer’s car might be their daily transport.
It might be their first new vehicle.
It might be a Tesla.
It might be a family SUV.
Or it might be the supercar they have wanted for years.
The emotional and financial value of a vehicle isn’t determined by its badge.
That’s why our approach is the same:
Respect the vehicle.
Prepare it properly.
Use appropriate material.
Install carefully.
Check the finished work.
Project Modz has provided automotive styling and protection services in Singapore since 2017.
No. Project Modz works on daily-driven vehicles, EVs, Japanese and Continental cars, luxury vehicles, performance cars and supercars.
Our services include car wrapping, Paint Protection Film, Colour PPF, window tinting, dechrome, roof protection, decals and other automotive styling and protection solutions.
Project Modz focuses on premium automotive film products suitable for their intended application and assesses the specific products it carries rather than relying solely on brand recognition.
We consider the product’s intended application, consistency, finish, installation characteristics and available product support. If a product doesn’t meet the standard we expect for our work, our philosophy is simple: we don’t need to sell it.
It depends on your goal. Vinyl wrap is primarily for styling, clear PPF primarily protects the existing paint, while Colour PPF combines colour transformation with paint protection.
After years in this industry, our philosophy hasn’t become more complicated.
It has become simpler.
Don’t compromise on the material.
Don’t compromise on preparation.
Don’t compromise on installation.
Don’t compromise on finishing.
Don’t sell a film that doesn’t meet our standard.
Since 2017, Project Modz has built its automotive styling and protection services around premium materials, experienced installation and attention to detail.
Whether you’re bringing us an everyday car, a new EV, a luxury SUV, a performance vehicle or a supercar, our objective remains the same:
